Christel House Academy was honored to host Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard for his 2009 State of the City address. The Mayor chose Christel House to highlight the wonderful work taking place and the charter school movement in Indianpolis. He shared, "The Christel House Academy charter school reflects the hope we all place in our children". While the new Cole Porter Family Orchestra played, several hundred people gathered, along with several media outlets, to hear the Mayor's plans for the coming year.
