By Culver Academies India Trip 2013
Our first day at Christel House was a blast!
We started the morning by visiting the kindergarten children.
They showed off their newly learned English skills. We also received many high
fives because Christel had just taught them during her recent visit.
We then went and watched their weekly all school assembly. It
was led by one of the first grade classes. They were adorable. They ended
everything that they said with the words "thank you." They also sang
a song about the sun!
We continued our day by spending time with our partners at
Christel House. They showed us around the beautiful facilities and told us a
little bit more about their school.
We then started the art part of our connection.
We each made an individual
sketch of something about our culture and shared them with our partners.
Afterwards we joined the whole group and shared our sketches with everyone.
Some partners even explained each other's sketch instead of their own. It was a
fun way to learn about Indian culture.
BTW:
Mr. Behling loves Culver's connection with Christel House.
