Sustain Christel House by becoming a monthly donor
Did you know that you can support Christel House by scheduling a monthly donation using your credit card?
Naomi Orsay, from St. Louis, Missouri, is one of our monthly donors. “I feel very strongly that we can change the world by providing impoverished children with high quality education,” Naomi saya. “After researching numerous organizations through Charity Navigator, I selected Christel House as one of my top five because of its mission and commitment to deploying 100% of my gifts to programs and services for children in the US and around the world.”
Orsay, who is also a volunteer literacy tutor in the St. Louis school system, continues, “It’s important for me to give back in multiple ways including contributing to the causes that are closest to my heart. Setting up an automatic monthly gift to Christel House using my credit card was simple and children around the world benefit immediately from my gifts. Monthly giving is definitely a ‘win-win.’

The Wyndham Worldwide Challenge
Christel House is honored to be one of the three charities of choice for Wyndham Worldwide. This summer, Wyndham intern Catherine wrote about her experience working for an organization and what she learned about Christel House International. Although she hasn’t visited any of our Learning Centers, the stories of our students' struggles to break the cycle of poverty touched her heart.
“As Wyndham Worldwide employees, we have all had a hand in helping children …find more opportunities and reach their potential,” Catherine wrote. “I personally take pride in working for a company that is so devoted to giving back ….Helping others and knowing we have a true impact in this world is fulfilling, and helps give our own lives meaning. We are reminded that even small acts of kindness can add up to big change.”
Wyndham Worldwide, with the help of its Facebook fans, is once again showing its love for Christel House and its cause. For every new person who “likes” the Wyndham Worldwide Facebook page, the organization will make a contribution to Christel House and its other two signature charities. If Wyndham hits the goal of 60,000 new fans by November 30, 2010, it will donate $20,000 to Christel House. Does your dedication to ending generational poverty reflect Wyndhams? Take a few clicks of your mouse to "like" their page to make this donation a reality.

RCI Venezuela Contributes with the Education of Children in Venezuela
Yesterday, RCI Venezuela made an important contribution to create a new Computer Laboratory for 30 workstations to benefit 290 children Christel House Venezuela in La Vega.
The Christel House model embraces technology as a teaching and learning tool across the curriculum by identifying specific ways to use the technology by grade level, to teach technical skills to students and also to introduce parents to technology through parent workshops or through special programs.

RCI emphasizes its role as a good corporate citizen in Venezuela, and is developing its goal of education being the best and most efficient engine development for Nations. The hope is that these new 30 computer work stations will provide a better educational experience from the diligent learners of Venezuela.
“We are sure technology will help Christel House students to understand the overview of the new global concert of Nations and help them be better prepared to meet, face and overcome the challenges of the new environment.”
Mrs Carolina Piñango Director of business development
This contribution will not only affect the young learners. Christel House Venezuela’s Vice Principal, William León, expresses that this contribution is a great opportunity, not only to benefit the students for the current school year, but also for the a new host of the learning center ideas.

UPS visit CHMX and Donates Books
UPS came to our school and read to Elementary First Grade students. The activity lasted and hour, they interacted with the students and shared their readings. UPS staff also donated richly-illustrated texts of fiction and nonfiction books to our library. We believe these type of activities are important in order to help our students feel confident and also eager to read more.
At CHMX we believe that Reading is an important tool for students to encourage and approach any type of Reading as they would that any book designed for children.
We want to express our deepest thanks for sharing their time with our children. It was a pleasure for us to receive their visit and we feel very happy for the books that were donated to our library.
