From the perspective of: Matt Capuzzi, Vice President & Assistant Controller,
Wyndham Exchange & Rentals and Jørgen Brich, Senior Director of Business Development, EVR-Alliance
Team, Wyndham Exchange & Rentals
On Tuesday, August 13, Matt
Capuzzi and I traveled to Christel House Academy to personally deliver
backpacks filled with much-needed school supplies to the incoming Kindergarten
class. The backpacks were decorated by Wyndham Exchange & Rentals (WER)
associates at a team-building event earlier in the year. Our coworkers
also added their own personal touch by donating children's books, toys or
meaningful gifts in the bags. The group voted our bag with an Argyle-inspired
design ‘Most Creative’ which earned us the opportunity to travel to Indiana and
present the bags in person.
It was an awesome experience and quite the honor to represent WER and present
the Christel House students with their new school bags. We were afforded the opportunity
to tour the amazing facility and also have lunch with some of Christel House's
high school students. It was an experience that neither of us will soon
forget. Seeing the kindergarten students' faces light up with excitement when
we arrived and answering all of the interesting questions from the high school
students was a sign that it wasn't just rewarding for us, but also the
students. It was a great way to kick off a new school year.
Christel House means so much to our associates, and it was
both heartwarming and humbling to meet some of the remarkable children that are
attending the school, as well as the tremendous opportunity that Christel House
is presenting them for a better life.
