Christel House lost a dear friend
and supporter this spring. Ron Haylock
passed away on May 8, 2013 at the age of 68.
A passionate supporter of our mission, Ron traveled to every Christel House, sitting in classrooms, engaging students
and communicating the power of education.
Thanks to his efforts, Christel House Europe was launched to engage the
European timeshare community in a host of fundraising activities to benefit
Christel House. He served on the Christel House South Africa board for many
years with great wisdom and unfailing integrity. Ron was a tireless fundraiser, and an
ambassador who regularly motivated others to become supporters.
Ron was also a passionate music lover. As a tribute, Howard Nusbaum, President and
CEO of the American Resort Development Association, has made an initial gift to
launch the Ron Haylock Music Fund to support music programs at Christel House
learning centers.
“Like so many who knew Ron Haylock, Charles
and I were deeply saddened by his unexpected passing,” said Howard.
“Knowing his devotion to Christel House was matched only by his love of
music; we wanted to combine these two passions by creating a fund in his honor
earmarked for the music programs at the learning centers. I hope you will
join us by adding an extra gift in honor of our friend Ron to your annual
Christel House giving.”
Ron Haylock will be sorely
missed.
