Christel House takes a holistic approach to serving our youth – a major component of which is health. The Fresh Fruit and Veggie Program is a
U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Service grant that provides children in schools with of free fruits and vegetables during the school day. The main goal of the Fresh Fruit and Veggie Grant is to create healthier schools by providing healthier foods. The program has been known to have wonderful effects like combating childhood obesity by helping children learn more healthful eating habits.
Thanks to the
USDA and the
Indiana Department of Education, the grant will ensure that the bright young minds of Christel House Academy can continue to strive healthier.
